Wytheville Community College (WCC) Site
In 2007 I redesigned the WCC web site with input from an administrative committee. Content was reorganized to avoid redundancy and to make information easier to find. Dropdown menus developed with CSS and javascript were used to reduce the number of clicks needed to access information. An employee directory was recoded from using Microsoft Access and ASP to using MySQL and PHP, and forms were added to allow HR personnel to update the directory without IT assistance. The site can be found online at http://www.wcc.vccs.edu. Developed with: Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop.

Using Wordpress for Content Management
In conjunction with the WCC site redesign, I also implemented three Wordpress publishing system installations to assist with content management. I chose Wordpress because it would allow users throughout the college to submit items for publication and approval with no knowledge of HTML. These sites are the WCC Daily Bulletin, WCC News, and WCC Library News. Developed with: Wordpress, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop.

Tech Quest Academy
This site was redesigned for the Tech Quest Academy summer program. Along with the redesign, I researched and recommended software to create flash slideshows without the use of Macromedia Flash, which would allow for the speedy posting of daily photos. This site can be viewed online at http://www.wcc.vccs.edu/techquest/. Developed with: Wordpress, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Flash Slideshow Maker.
